Payment & Billing FAQ
Think of the questions your customers ask most frequently and write them here along with the answers.
A: You can go to my link for paypal for paying your bill. Most of the time I send out an invoice which includes this link, but sometimes with on demand tutoring, you can pay through this portal:
A: If you've been given an email invoice, it will have a link at the bottom for you to go to my paypal portal, view the bill, and make payment for it. Currently there is no viewing I'm aware of for instant billing (on-demand).
A: This is a good question which has come up frequently over the years. I used to do net 10 billing but have lost much income due to bad debts. Most tutors ask for payment up front, or in a payment plan consistent with a schedule. I ask for at least a week up front to lock in your hours. Think of it as purchasing a ticket for a train before you board the train, then the purchase becomes realized as the train takes off. I do ask if you wish to discontinue to please notify me before the next scheduled session.
A: Life happens. If you need to cancel a session, all you need to do is contact me by phone (see Contact us page) to cancel a session in advance. Please be aware that you must call no later than twice the driving time before the session (if face to face appointment), or at least 1/2 hour before an online appointment. This is to give fair time for everyone; if this is not observed, no less than 1/2 of arranged time must be charged for short notice.
A: There is no penalty for payment for more than the discount rate (paying for 20 hours at once yields a discount). You will continue to receive a discount pro-rated with the hours.
A: For those of you who've been with me a while, you've seen this page, and then it disappeared. I had the misfortune of letting my relationship with Microsoft lapse while building this website. Some of the pages I edited disappeared because of that fact. I made sure I'm not recurrent billing with Microsoft to prevent this from happening again!
